Three Distributive Elements in Polish (without Missing Lexical Generalisations)
نویسنده
چکیده
Przepiórkowski 2010 argues that there are in fact two different functional lexemes po in Polish: a preposition, exemplified by (1), and an adnumeral operator (in the sense of the classification of functional parts of speech in Polish by Grochowski 1997), exemplified by (2). The main difference between them is that the distributive preposition po assigns the locative case, which is a strictly prepositional case in Polish, and the adnumeral operator po is transparent to any case assignment mechanisms, i.e., the accusative case in (2) is assigned to the direct object of dałem ‘gave’. The main reason for distinguishing such an adnumeral operator po is that it may occur with numeral phrases in cases other than the previously noticed accusative, as shown by the marginal but attested dative example (3) below:

Distributive lattices with strong endomorphism kernel property as direct sums
Unbounded distributive lattices which have strong endomorphism kernel property (SEKP) introduced by Blyth and Silva in [3] were fully characterized in [11] using Priestley duality (see Theorem 2.8}). We shall determine the structure of special elements (which are introduced after Theorem 2.8 under the name strong elements) and show that these lattices can be considered as a direct product of ...
متن کاملITRI - 00 - 36 Phonological feature based multilingual lexical description Carole
This paper presents a framework for compactly describing word forms in terms of phonological features. Using a highly modular default-inheritance based approach, the framework supports the description of lexical generalisations traditionally modelled as morphology and phonology in a single phonology-based representation. This representation is more uniform and more detailed than previous approa...
متن کاملUsing Descriptive Generalisations in the Acquisition of Lexical Data for Word Formation
This paper presents a method for acquiring data for a word formation analyser. There are several approaches to the analysis of complex words in German. As all of them have theoretical and/or practical drawbacks, we opt for a different approach: Instead of using linking elements, we make use of three different stem types, simplex, derivational, and compounding stems. Candidates for these can be ...

متن کاملEffect of Nail Polish on Pulse Oximetry Findings in Healthy Volunteers: A Randomized Clinical Trail
Background and Objectives: Pulse oximetry is the most common technique for monitoring hemoglobin oxygen saturation (SpO2). Different colors and brands of nail polish may cause disturbance in the reading and interpretation of oxygen saturation. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different colors of nail polish on oxygen saturation measured by pulse oximeter. Methods: Thirty he...
